Security Check-Up

Many break-ins start with something left open. The check-up looks at how your computer is set up and tells you what to change.

  • Your computer's settings

Is the firewall on? Is the disk encrypted? Are updates current? Does the screen lock when you step away? Each answer that leaves you exposed comes with the steps to fix it.

  • Remote sign-in

If your computer accepts sign-ins from elsewhere, whether it lets someone in as its administrator or with a password alone.

  • Open doors

Programs that other computers on the network can reach: databases, A.I. tools, remote-control software, container engines, and software for industrial, building or medical equipment. Each finding says how to close the door.

  • Well-known security standards

Checks for the settings that standards such as GDPR, HIPAA and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework expect of a computer.

Which plans include it

Every plan checks the key settings. Higher plans check more, and the checks for open doors start with Strong.

The check-up reads your computer's settings, never your files.

Compare the Plans

Each plan's card shows how many defense mechanisms its scans run.
